Germany & The Netherlands 2014: Our trip = 7 months of planning, two countries and many amazing experiences later this was our best vacation this year! We had so much fun and were able to see everything from The Heidelberg Castle Ruins, Heidelberg old town, modern art museums, tower 360 degree views of Frankfurt, the River Rhine river cruise, city boat site seeing tours, Zaandam / Zaanse Schans, The Netherlands windmills, wooden-shoes as we explored the traditional crafts at the the Wooden Shoe Workshop (Where we stood in large wooden shoes, and also sat in a large wooden shoe), cheese farms (where the taste testing was delicious!), The Alkmaar cheese market where we witnessed cheese traders and samplers go to work, sell cheese, weight cheese and carry wheels of cheese on special wooden cheese carriers, a floating flower market selling bulbs, flowers, dutch crafts, rows and rows of color tulips as far as the eyes could see at flower farm fields, Keueknhof Tulip Gardens the world famous tulip bulb flower park and Holland tulips (tulip mania) as they still call it, and more activities that the photos will show you! As we took around 1,500 photos we hope that you enjoy a tiny peak into our wonderfully relaxing and super european vacation!
