Bon Voyage! – Cyprus – Paphos – Limassol – Nicosia – Coral Bay – Aphrodite Hills –
Cyprus /ˈsaɪprəs/; Greek: Κύπρος, Kýpros, IPA: [ˈcipros]; Turkish: Kıbrıs, IPA: [kɯbɾɯs] – officially the Republic of Cyprus (Greek:Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία, Kypriakī́ Dīmokratía, IPA: [cipriaˈci ðimokraˈtia]; Turkish: Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti, IPA: [kɯbɾɯs dʒumhuɾijeti]); – is a Eurasian island country in the Eastern Mediterranean, east of Greece, south of Turkey, west of Syria and north of Egypt. It is the third largest island on the Mediterranean Sea and one of its most popular tourist destinations.
When selecting our next destination for travel Cyprus was not only a unique choice but a beautiful destination location to spend a few weeks away, in the sun, the hot sun and heat of 100-110 degree average temperatures, at least while we were there. The beaches were beautiful and the clear blue water and flowing waves of the Mediterranean Sea served as a fantastic backdrop for this vacation. Our trip consisted of visiting historic sites, gorges, wineries, and even enjoy a scuba and a underwater walker experience. Traveling in our rental vehicles was quite the experience, there were regular roads, unmarked roads, and of course to get us around we used what we call the European “gu-men” a.k.a, their version of a garmin which sometimes was able to get us from Point A to Point B, but mostly kept getting us lost. As with everything though, that was part of the adventure and we have wonderfully found memories. Enough said for now, take a look at these images and I hope you enjoy them.
